African Holiday Retreat in Harare

There are many cities in the continent of Africa that are gradually becoming great attractions for tourists. With many of the countries working towards betterment of their economies, high budgets are also being set for the development of tourist attraction sites. African countries have finally realized how big revenue they can generate from tourism industry. Thus, many steps are being taken in order to promote tourism in the region. One such step is ensuring the easy and wide availability of flights to Zimbabwe. This is something of quite an interest to every traveler, hence making Africa a choice above many other destinations.

In Africa, people of all ages and from all walks of life can find things of their interest. The continent has a varied terrain giving it scenic locations from exotic mountains and hills to lush green savannahs to spectacular coasts and beaches. Harare is a city whose cityscape comprises of greenery and serenity. The city’s streets and roads are lined with trees and it is filled with lush parks and gardens. Amazing types of flowers and many different species of birds are commonly found in the city. The metropolitan’s modern skyline and conserved Victorian buildings further add to the grandeur of the city.

When fine luxury accommodation and world class restaurants were filled in the city, it did not take very long for it to catch tourists’ eyes. Shortly after that, airlines from around the world started offering cheap flights to Harare. Harare International Airport is now one of Africa’s busiest African airports serving millions of passengers annually.

National Botanical Gardens in Harare house around 900 species of plants and birds, thus they are enough for the city to grab travelers into its wonderment. Shopping in the city is, nevertheless, another dreamy experience. Market places in Harare are centered with or surrounded by lush green gardens where one can hear bird singing. Shopping in this environment gives the traveler a fairytale feeling. The singers sitting beside the shops add to the romanticism of the shopping experience. Hwange and Matobo national parks are worth visiting. Victoria Falls are another picturesque gift to the city from nature.

History enthusiasts would love a visit to The National Gallery where collections of Rhodesiana and Africana are showcased. Adding Queen Victoria Library and Queen Victoria Museum to the trip would surely satisfy them.

Harare can be reached by direct flights or an indirect one. Air Zimbabwe is the only direct flight from London, Heathrow to Harare. Other airlines, such as, Ethiopian Airlines connect Harare with Addis Ababa, Qatar Airways connects it with Doha, Etihad connects the city with Abu Dhabi and Emirates with Dubai. None of these airlines is, however, direct and they all connect to Harare from their bases via London. For an exotic Harare holiday, flights can also be grabbed from Ireland or Isle of Man via UK.
