All there is to know about the vacation destination of your dreams that is exactly what a Caribbean travel guide offers. But are Caribbean travel guides really godsend? Or are they just patronizing materials designed for commercial purposes?

Well, theyre a little of both actually. After all, the people behind Caribbean travel guides do need a source of income in order to continue to publish their guides. But a tremendous amount of research has been placed in these guides to just dismiss them as useless resource material.

What else is more nifty, informative and convenient than a Caribbean travel guide?

Sure, the Internet may prove more updated when it comes to information, but you cant carry the Internet everywhere. And believe it or not, its always much more gratifying to pull out a Caribbean travel guide from your carry case, flip a few pages open, then slip it right back when youre tried of reading. It sure beats having to wait in the airport, sitting bored silly and wondering whether or not your flights going to be delayed.

That said, dont cling to travel guides religiously. Many travelers make that mistake. They are not the bibles that they are made out to be by some people. You should know that published materials, including travel guides, are out of date the moment they are published, because by then, there would have been new updated material that came up and it would be too late to include them.

So, how are you supposed to use Caribbean travel guides then? How would you know which information to believe and which facts are outdated? Unfortunately, there is no exact answer to that. To get the most out of your Caribbean travel guide, use them sparingly for basic orientation. So once you have the basics right down to a tee, go out there and discover the towns and cities on your own. That is, after all, what traveling is all about adventure and discovery of new things. At the very least, when all other signs look foreign, the information on museums and places of interest are great.

However, when it comes to hotels and restaurants, each to his own taste and budget. Remember that bargains rise in price with popularity, so theres every bit of chance that that hot new deal in your Caribbean travel guide isnt much of a deal anymore, considering how pricey it has become. And then sometimes, too, the places get easily full with foreigners and travelers like you, so you cant always expect your Caribbean travel guide to point you in the right place all the time.

Then, if you do wander around on your own, then you will surely find quality rooms with reasonable prices. They may be located in out-of-the-way places that Caribbean travel guide writers may not know about. Remember that because you in the destination, you are in far better place to get what you want out of your vacation.

So to close it off, dont be a sad type who writes to say that it wasnt like what you said in the book. Heres a tip: open your eyes and explore for yourself!

There can not beat Carribean when we talk about having fun in the sun. Situated just to the south and east of Mexico and north and west of Venezuela, South America where the waters are clear and the sun is hot, a Caribbean travel vacation has everything for everyone – whether you are one for hiking, diving, water sports, swimming, and just plain frolicking in its white sand beaches.

But traveling to a hot destination like the Caribbean can be quite expensive, and for this reason, many people balk at the idea of a Caribbean travel. Indeed, why spend so much on a single vacation when you could visit much cheaper vacation destinations? Never mind if these places don’t even come close to what a Caribbean travel entails.

Ah, but what if we told you that there’s a much better way to spend a vacation? What if we told you that you can go on a Caribbean travel vacation without having to spend a lot of your hard-earned money?

A Caribbean travel for less! Now, there’s a thought.

Below are four chic hotels where you can keep the island flavor high and the prices at a bare minimum while on a Caribbean travel vacation:

Flash and Glamour – Anguilla

The most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, Anguilla is an island known for the flash and glamour of many of its resorts. For this reason, the island is a popular Caribbean travel destination for many visitors who want to bask in the compelling charm, romance, and excitement that the islands are known for.

Rendezvous Bay Hotel & Villas may not have all that flash and glamour, but it lacks in that department, the hotel makes up for its location and fantastic rates (starts at $130 while villa costs $275). This Caribbean travel resort hotel offers 46 rooms, all sitting directly on 50 palm-laden acres of fronting a 1 ½ mile long sugary sand beach. The resort has been recently renovated, offering white tile floors and simple rattan furnishings, and is divided among a dozen low-rise buildings.

Another worthy hotel group is Ku, its name meaning “sacred place” in the Arawak Indian language. With room rates starting at $295, this 27-suite hotel overlooks Shoal Bay East and are South Beach-chic, with minimalist white décor, air conditioning, and full kitchens.

Honeymoon Favorite – Antigua

Located just south of another popular Caribbean travel destination of Barbuda, Antigua markets itself as a luxury Caribbean travel escape. Its many hotels and resorts located around the coastline are all favorites when it comes to honeymooning while on a Caribbean travel.

While you don’t have to be on your honeymoon to enjoy Antigua’s island charm, the Cocobay Resort’s location on a hillside facing the Caribbean Sea makes for a very romantic atmosphere. The idyllic hotel is made of 47 Creole-style cottages in soft pastel hues with rates that are very affordable at $240.

Hybrid Beat – Bahamas

If you want a decidedly patrician vibe during your Caribbean travel vacation, then the Landing, a seven-room inn on Harbour Island is exactly for you. There are no televisions, no phones, or Internet connections – things that distract you from the sheer beauty of the beach a few blocks away. And for only $240, you can get one of the bay-view rooms, which offer the best views of the harbor and comes with crisp white linens, terraces, and four-poster beds.

If you’re considering where to go on your next vacation, try the world of great tropical adventure called Costa Rica.

A Costa Rica Caribbean vacation lets you explore active volcanoes, see wild animals, see lush rain forests up close, and swim and lounge on great beaches. Costa Rica is one of the few ultimate paradises that have been left untouched on planet Earth. There are no military bases or nuclear power plants, and Costa Rica has lots of culture. In addition, Costa Rica is a tropical climate, so there’s no winter to contend with. Costa Rica is a democratic society and is one of the most peaceful in the world. Its last civil war occurred in 1948. Since then, it has abolished armed forces and has also avoided despotic dictatorships, military coups, terrorism and any other forms of conflict so common in other parts of the world.

In addition, Costa Rica has a very friendly country. Costa Rica Caribbean travel provides a friendly, warm welcome no matter what part of the country you wish to visit.

Costa Rica means “rich coast,” but Costa Rica has far more to offer than just its coast. Costa Rica is a country of incredible natural beauty and it contains many species of animals not present in many other parts of the world. Some of these animals are very rare and can only be seen if you go to Coast Rica.

In addition, plants are very diverse and beautiful as well. There are well over 10,000 species of vascular plants and many gorgeous flowers. In addition, almost 2000 tree species have been recorded in this beautiful Latin American country. Visiting this astonishing country should give you an incredibly exciting Costa Rican Caribbean travel vacation, with such unusual and innumerable flora and fauna to view in its natural habitat.

In addition to land mammals and birds that anybody interested in ecology would love to see, Costa Rica also has approximately 835 species of fish. 700 of these are saltwater fish. Anglers and fishers should have a wonderful time fishing in Coast Rica’s clear blue waters, as they challenge themselves to see if they can catch any of these unusual fish species.

Now, let’s focus for a minute on the northwest region of Coast Rica, called Guanacaste. Most Costa Rican Caribbean travelers go there these days because of its ever-changing scenery and the many activities offered. There are many tours you can take; no matter what your interests, you should find something you like. With these tours, take an close look at all of its exotic trees, plants, flowers, animals and fish. For an experience you’ll never forget, a Coast Rica Caribbean vacation is just the ticket for you.

Whatever your interests, you should find something you like to do on your Coast Rica Caribbean travel. Some of these will depend on the region of the country you go to. In the rain forest, bird watching walks with English-speaking guides who are experts in identification themselves should let you see exotic species up close, while horseback riding provides another view of your Costa Rican Caribbean travel vacation

Another option is to take a canopy tour, which is a popular tour in every region of Coast Rica. However, to best experience Costa Rica’s precious rain forest, avoid tours that go through areas from the north towards the west. In these areas, climates are drier so that vegetation is not as lush as it is in other areas.

You would exhaust your fingers and toes trying to count the good reasons to travel to the Caribbean. Among them is the presence of so many interesting activities you would not want to do anywhere else. Sailing, diving, snorkeling among coral reefs teeming with countless colorful fish. Great mountains with picturesque hiking, scenic rivers, horseback riding the countryside. The championship golf courses and casinos, and five star all inclusive resorts with every facility, activity and amenity you can think of. The pulsating music and African -Creole food with spices that make your tongue sing. Great duty free shopping and charming local crafts waiting to become the memento of a perfect vacation. There is never a dull moment when traveling in the Caribbean.

The Caribbean is a complete vacation destination. It caters to all styles of travel from the hammock lovers and spa denizens to the active traveler. Even the culinary tourist finds great delight in the Caribbean.

There is no other destination in the world that hosts so many interesting sights, sounds and activities all in one place. Where else can you go from sailing among secluded cays, to visiting an underground cave complex and then to a professionally designed golf course. Then after having some jerk chicken from a rustic roadside eatery, you head to the casino of your all inclusive resort. Later that day is a bit of deep sea fishing. Then you return to land and sample some Creole cooking – Lobster, Stuffed Crab backs, Calalloo – before heading to a beach party complete with steel pans, limbo and fire dancers. Then its off to one of the several lively discos on the island. However you don’t stay out too late; the Carnival opening parade is tomorrow; you have purchased your colorful costume from the local Mas Camp and must ensure you have the energy to keep up with the locals.

Though the Caribbean is full of great sights and sounds, and most islands have certain and most islands have many of them in common, it may be necessary for you to do a little bit of island hopping to more fully experience the region. The Caribbean airline LIAT (Leeward Islands Air Transport) is at your disposal. There are also smaller charter airlines which can whisk you among the smaller islands such as the Grenadines, south of St. Vincent. Most islands are separated by about fifteen to thirty minutes by air or a few hours by ferry.

There are a few tips you should observer in order to get the best value for your money when traveling in the Caribbean. One of the best ways see the Caribbean is by cruise ship. Doing so is a much more cost effective than paying for hotels and flights to visit several different islands. However proper planning is needed in order to get the best experience out of your single day or two day stay in each island.

The best time to travel to the Caribbean is in the low season between May to November, when the United States and Britain experience warmer weather. If you are not particularly price conscious, however, then you could travel in the high season which is between December 15 to April 15th. Even during the high season, some times of travel are more pricey than others such as Christmas week.

You should try to stay in an all inclusive resort when visiting the islands. With your flight, all meals and activities included in one package, you are less likely to go over budget. The downside an all-inclusive stay is that you may neglect to venture outside of the resort to sample the local culinary offerings. Alternatively, you could try to negotiate a group rate with an apartment, condo or villa when traveling in groups.

The Caribbean is a diverse melting pot of cultures forged over many hundreds of years of French, Spanish and British influence. This has created diverse sites, sounds and tastes. If you participate fully in the Caribbean, you will have an unforgettable experience.
